Thecophora

fe`rein to bear.] (Zo["o]l.)
A division of hydroids comprising those which have the
hydranths in thec[ae] and the gonophores in capsules. The
campanularians and sertularians are examples. Called also
Thecata. See Illust. under
Hydroidea.
